Board of Zoning Appeals
The Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) has authority to hear and decide appeals where it is alleged there is an error in any order, requirement, decision or determination made by the Zoning Administrator in the administration or enforcement of the Zoning Ordinance.
Any person affected by any decision of the Zoning Administrator is entitled to appeal to the Board of Zoning Appeals. Any person requesting a variance from the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance can also make an application to the Board of Zoning Appeals.

BZA hearings are held in Council Chambers on the 11th Floor of City Hall at 10 AM.

Requirements:
- A completed application
- A check or money order
- A site plan drawn to scale
Procedure:
- Staff receives completed application and places request on Board's agenda.
- The applicant or his representative must be present at the Public Hearing to apprise the Board of information concerning the request.
- The Board renders its decision on the appeal.

The Board's decision may reverse or affirm, wholly or in
part, or may modify the appeal orders requirement, decision or determination. A
decision by the Board shall not take affect until 30 days after the date of the
hearing to permit an appeal of the Board’s decision.
